Over the past few months it has been challenging to safely move Laura up or down the stairs.  One slip or unexpected weight shift would send all of us to the bottom of the steps - like dominos.  This past monday we had a curved stair glide installed thereby taking away this risk.

Previously there were times Laura was too tired to climb the steps in one motion so we had a chair on the landing for her to rest.  Other times when coming down the stairs her footing would be "off" and it would be safest for her to scoot down on her bottom - step by step. The stair glide is permanently mounted to the steps and although it takes about 75 seconds to climb 15 steps it's a whole lot faster then what it used to take us manually.
