Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD)

Laura receives her supplies from Pharmequip and everytime we speak with them we feel truely blessed to be connected with this very capable medical supply company.  And just as important, phone conversations with them are always pleasant and professional.  They are an excellent reflection of Hopkins world class service.
I was on the phone with Pharmequip this morning reviewing, of all things, some administrative issues, and I was reminded of the excellent care and amazing compassion received from every single person we've touched within the Hopkins network. And this includes all administrative personnel as well.

The pictures below show a brief snapshot of two such instances.  The first image is of Laura's sister Emily visiting after she donated her bone marrow.  Emily played a life saving role in this process and we our extremely grateful for her sacrifice.  Hopkins treated her with the utmost respect and compassion during her procedure as well.

The second image is of one of the nurses, Samantha, performing the transplant.  All the nurses and medical staff were absolutely amazing.

Although these images are of a medical nature, I remind myself that this would not be happening without the strength of Hopkins and the support and assistance of so many people behind the scenes.
