Good morning all and we hope everybody had a joyous and fun-filled Mother's Day.  In Towson, Maryland the weather was a pleasant 75 degrees and sunny.

We choose to celebrate Mother's Day more as a Mother's Weekend. Laura and I watched the Orioles earn sole possesion of first place by beating Tampa Bay while Darlene went shopping (for herself this time).  Saturday morning Darlene and I went to breakfast at 7:30 am.  Later I spent a few hours with Laura.

Laura wanted the second book of the Hunger Games trilogy so we went to Barnes and Noble, found "Catching Fire", and while I read a loud to her Laura enjoyed a cup of Java Chip Frappuccino. 20 minutes later we checked out with our new purchase.

Our second stop was Moddel's [sports apparel] store.  We wanted to buy an Orioles flag for the front door but alas none were to be found.  Sometine in the next couple days we'll go on line to see options.  Lastly, we stopped by the local florist.  Laura has been wanting a colorful hibiscus and she picked out a very nice hanging basket for Mother's Day.  In the evening, Laura and I watched the second of three Orioles games against Tampa Bay while Darlene was taken out to dinner by our daughter Emily.

Well that's it for now - GO ORIOLES.
